5 Outdoor Christmas decorations with style

polar bearMr A keeps threatening to buy something big, festive and requiring many volts of electricity to go outdoors. The world of outdoor Christmas decorations is a murky one, I’m scared he means a giant flashing Santa Stop Here sign.

I’ve held off for a long time, but actually last night as I took the dog for a late night walk I was really taken by all the fairy lights in people’s garden. Then I had a little peek on the outdoor department store White Stores, at the Christmas decorations and well, why not, here are my top five outdoor Christmas decorations, with style.

Polar Bears

I am quite tempted by the very surreal site of two polar bears (above) crouched in our garden in suburban Nottingham. I would love to see the kids faces as they woke up to see these pair in the middle of the lawn. £79.99 or £139.95 for a pair

White reindeer

There is something classy about white lights, and this almost goes into art installation territory. Less is definitely more. £64.95

Pine Cone Wreath

I may get round to raiding the garden and making a wreath, but I love this alternative wreath in striking white. £18.95

100 Outdoor Berry lights

These could almost be berries in the tree. Reminiscent of mistletoe, these outdoor lights are white, pretty and very understated. £19.95

Rattan Penguin

penguinIf we must have characters and a bit of colour, then how about the natural look with rattan and something once again completely out of context in suburbia, a lone penguin. Guaranteed to make you smile when you come home after a long day. £39.95

What’s your outdoor decorating style at Christmas? Which outdoor Christmas decorations do you like the look of?

Hi! I love the 5 decorations. I’ve never seen anything like these polar bears, they’re fantastic! We live in a flat in Barcelona so we don’t have decorations in the garden, just a Nativity scene and a Christmas tree, obviously, inside the house. Merry Christmas!

My husband laughs (or panics) as I say when we buy our family house I’m going to decorate the outside like the Home Alone house for Christmas…! But I’d now add a few Penguins and Polar Bears in for good measure! 😉
