Do you have any irrational fears? After a pigeon landed on my head in Trafalgar Square as a kid I decided mine was birds landing on me. The Farne Islands in Northumberland, UK, was an amazing place to encounter wildlife but brought me head to head with Artic Terns protecting their young. They dive bomb and peck at people's heads. At first I ran for cover and refused to explore. However, I was determined to see puffins so I decided to get over myself, the tiny things are only protecting their young. In the end being pecked was quite funny, probably not for the birds though, I did question if we should just be letting them be. But humans and birds seem to have come to an arrangement when exploring this uninhabited island. It was amazing to see so many puffins close to, and to take this photo, there is a puffin photo a little further back in my feed. I might have to invest in a new camera lens, wildlife photography is so rewarding and I'd like to get closer.
