Why parentshaped?

post-it-wall.jpg

Another blog, less of a diary more of a scrapbook or experiment. I began to feel as many parents do, that life had gone somewhat parentshaped. I love being a parent, but I sometimes feel like I can never get ahead, never get enough perspective.

So how do you make the best of parenthood? How do you give it your best, make the most of ever changing scenery, obstacles and challenges?

And how do you keep in touch with who you are beside being a parent, who you were and who you want to be?

How do you eek out time to be you and make the most of your children and be happy yourself?

An hour in a cafe, a run, a lunch hour, a night out , a haircut, a massage, a weekend away? ¬†Photographs, mottos, slogans, quotes, books? Talking to other parents, times with friends who aren’t parents, talking to your own parents, or even grandparents?

Sometimes time feels so precious.

While I document my family life, what we do and what we love, on my other blog, I wanted this to be a space to explore something bigger, parenthood.
