Do you have your family rules on display?

family rules

Do you have a family motto or rules on display? They’ve become more and more popular.

Mr A bought me these Beatles lyrics for our bedroom wall. It might be a cliche, but when times get tough all I have to do is look at it and I do feel a bit brighter. It keeps me mindful and grounded.

all you need is love

As a teacher I always had a few simple rooms for my classroom, normally made up in agreement with my students so they were more likely to abide by them. I keep thinking it would be good to have a few rules on display in our home cialis too. Watch this space, while I ask my kids for some ideas.

I saw a giant wall sticker list of family values on facebook last week, I loved the way it announced to everyone who stepped foot in the house what that particular family valued. I know my house already screams I’m too busy being creative to clean, but if that was emblazoned in stylish typography on the wall, now I think I might just pull off being a┬ádomestic┬ádisaster.

Our family rule is you must always strive your best self and have generosirty of spirit (ie, be pleased for other peoples successes and generous with your loving and wishing others well) and you must ALWAYS treat your brother and sister better than you would trat yourvery best friend – we are still working ont hat one!

How funny, just before I was reading this blog post I was making a list of Happy Habits with my eldest, which was part of our resolutions for the family this year.

I actually think it’s inspiring seeing Family Values on a board like this so will do something similar, a fun project and definitely worth adding to our home space!

ps nothing wrong with being too creative to clean. That’s my excuse!

Love all these mottos and what you have hanging on your bedroom wall. Brilliant!

Becky – we are really working on the sibling one too. I asked them about rules today and they said ‘never stick your fingers in a door’, and ‘uh?’ i think this might take some time!

Uju – I love happy habits, sounds much more appealing that rules! Glad it ‘s not just me who is too creative to clean!
