Last time Mr A took over the blog to tell you more about his experience of learning to sail with Mark Warner, now it is over to 6 yo Mr G to share his post about Mark Warner Holidays, straight from the horse’s, or should I say donkey’s mouth (all will become clear). Here’s what he loved at Levante, in his own words and my video.
Donkey Ride
My donkey was called Tom, he took me down the slope from the castle and acropolis at Lindos. Riding on a donkey was nice because Tom was a nice donkey. It was a little bit bumpy. I got to stroke the donkey. They look like horses but with bigger ears.
Junior Club in the Pool
I was in goal playing games with my group. I liked being in the water with kids’ club.
Sailing a boat at Junior Club
I was scared of sailing at first. I got to sail a boat myself in Junior Club. I screamed across the beach to tell Mummy ‘I sailed the boat myself!’
I was playing with my friend N. We were playing on a boat!
Being last to leave the swimming pool
Sometimes I was the last person to leave the swimming pool.
Playing in the pool on my dinghy
My family now have a dinghy! I liked playing in the dinghy, I played jumping after the dinghy, that helped me learn how to swim further, the dinghy kept floating off so I had to swim more.
Playing with my friends
In junior club, in the pool, at movie club and in the bar or on the beach in the evenings.
I like playing with my friends on mine craft. It was good fun having friends my age.
Jumping in and swimming further
I watched some boys jumping in. I wanted to join in but I was too shy to ask them can I play. But I jumped into the swimming pool for the first time with them. It was fun.
Making a river city at the beach
I made a river city all the way from the tap to the beach. It took me and my friend N about some of the week days and nights to build.
Pancakes for breakfast
I like chocolate pancake for breakfast nearly every morning on holiday and I could chose whatever I wanted to eat.
Getting a certificate and a shiny badge
Here are Mr G’s best bits, and some very sage advice from the boy himself at the end there…
Here is his group’s childcare timetable for the week, which he was free to dip in and out of. There was also an organised sporting activity in the evening and a supervised Movie club.
Next up L, the fearless beach babe.
We were the guests of Mark Warner and took over their instagram for the week, do check out our top moments there too!
Have you seen Mr A’s favourite moments or read his account of learning to sail with Mark Warner yet?

08/09/2015 at 3:38 pmReally calm, and always space to chill away from people too which surprised me
09/09/2015 at 1:40 pmI love chocolate pancakes every morning on holiday too! They are just too good to resist! And you are so brave to have gone sailing - think I would have been too scared myself!

09/09/2015 at 1:40 pmCute I love the idea of doing a review written by the kids. I’ve done a few little vlogs with them but never asked their views for a post. I’ll have to try it with them, its a lovely idea.

It was the first trip where we did a lot of stuff separate as well as together, so made sense to give differing perspectives, but I might have to make them do more!
09/09/2015 at 1:41 pmOh I love this post so cute, it is great to see it from a kids perspective, my two have worked with me on a post for Beaches Resorts and they see things so differently don’t they , the more I see about Mark Warner the more I think our family would love it x

They do, it was magic to let them do it and not try and say what I think they were thinking, signs they are getting older!
09/09/2015 at 1:42 pmWhat a great review! How could you not love a holiday where you get to eat chocolate pancakes for breakfast every day?! My daughter would have been a big fan of Tom the Donkey too.

Pretty incredible way to experience watersports as a kid/family!
09/09/2015 at 1:43 pmAh you look like you had an amazing time - my children enjoyed a donkey ride over the Summer too although this was on Scarborough beach so not quite as glamorous - just as bumpy I bet. Well done for sailing a boat. I am 31 years old had have never done this so it’s amazing you’ve been able to do this and you’re only 6 years old! I’m impressed.

09/09/2015 at 1:44 pmThis is such a lovely post - really sums up exactly what makes a great holiday when you’re small. Easy to forget it’s all about the simple things (though I’m impressed with the sailing too!)
