6 Reasons to Hire a Motorhome, plus WIN 4 days of motorhome hire!

I’m really excited to be teaming up with Amber Motorhomes to share the chance to win four nights motorhome hire. Amber Motorhomes are a leading motorhome rental company, their premium quality vans are all under 2 years old and have undergone 100 plus safety checks. Insurance for two is included, not extra – a refreshing change! You can find the competition details at the end of the post.

We love motorhomes, we had two amazing motorhome trips last year, our first motorhome trip around Scotland was breath taking, then we stayed in the Ben 10 Rust Bucket which was hilarious fun. They were really special trips, here’s why I think you should definitely take a family motorhome trip this year:

1.Kids love any kind of home on wheels, we used to have a VW, and then a caravan and both were complete child magnets. Group camping trips always ended up with all the kids hiding in our campervan. We were sad to part with them both, but they are a big commitment and can be expensive to maintain and store – hiring a motorhome is the perfect hassle free way to get our road trip fix!

2. Motorhomes bring you closer to together. It might seem crazy to put families together in a small space, but it really works, because you spend lots of time outdoors, at the end of the day you are ready to snuggle up. We loved the way motor homing strengthened our family bond.

3, You can’t beat the view out of a motorhome window. We loved being on the go as much as stopping to explore, the scenery in Scotland was especially breathtaking…

4. You can take naps, toilet stops, snack breaks and stop for tea anywhere, and in the most gorgeous places – perfect for travel with kids. This was under the Cuillin mountain range on the Isle of Skye.

5. Motorhomes make it easy to cover lots of ground with kids. Coming home to the same cosy and familiar environment each night means kids quickly embrace life on the road. They can bring lots of their favourite toys to keep them busy on journeys too. Parents get to chat and enjoy the views, although we also enjoyed taking turns to sit in the back with one child while the other sat up front and enjoyed the scenery.

6. Campsites are amazing these days, with great facilities for families – cafes, award wining loos, family bathrooms, shops, sports and takeaway deliveries – which makes it really easy to recharge on a family road trip. Motorhomes are fun to stay in whether you stay put or take on a road trip. I will never forget our campfire by Loch Ness!

We’ve always fancied hiring a motorhome for a summer exploration around the UK. It must be so lovely to have the freedom to just drive, stop and put the kettle on whilst you’re admiring the view!
