Some finishing Christmas decoration touches at Homebase

I’ve been working with Homebase on a bedroom makeover, which I have just finished in time for Christmas. So what better way to celebrate than to buy a few final Christmas decorations? We popped into our local Homebase when the sale prices hadn’t hit, but top tip, some of the savings now are amazing. We sorted out some decorations for the tree and something festive for each of the kids’ rooms.

What I also really wanted was something for the kids’ teachers and teaching assistants. Above you can see what we chose together – a felt wise owl decoration, a scented tea light in a holder and a jingle bell.

we made brownies. because L said how much her teacher loved chocolate.. This year they put the effort into choosing and wrapping. We wrapped the gifts in brown paper and decorated with Christmas stamps.

For his room, Mr G went for a light up model railway station, the whole model world is now available for a great saving online. He wanted a singing and dancing Moose, which I know Mr A would have bought him, but someone has to maintain the style stakes at Christmas! We settled on a tiny singing Penguin that sings Santa Baby.

Miss L chose a model stag and some Babushkas like the ones below. Her class went to a Christmas story telling workshop, with festive stories from around the world, so I thought this was a great one for her.

I’ve put together some of my favourites over on Polyvore
